Piles of Mahjong is a free browser puzzle game that puts a match-three spin on classic mahjong tile clearing. Instead of pairing two tiles, you pick three identical ones from a pile, and each selected tile drops into one of seven holding slots at the bottom of the screen. You can play it here with no download and no account required. It runs on desktop, mobile, and Chromebook, so it is also accessible unblocked at school or work.

What is Piles of Mahjong?

Piles of Mahjong is a puzzle game in the mahjong solitaire genre, but the core rule is changed: matches need three tiles, not two. Tiles come from stacked piles spread across the board and include familiar suits like circles and sticks alongside less traditional designs like bird heads and panda heads. You select tiles one at a time and they queue up in a row of seven slots. Land three of the same tile in that row and the triple clears automatically. Fill all seven slots without completing a triple and the round ends.
