What is Mahjong Titans
Mahjong Titans is the solitaire version of mahjong, not the four-player table game. You are given one large layout of stacked tiles and must remove all of them by pairing identical ones. Each game uses a full set of 144 tiles arranged in a pyramid-style stack. The satisfaction comes from watching a crowded board slowly empty as you find pair after pair, with the layout opening up as upper tiles are cleared.
How to play Mahjong Titans
Click one free tile, then click its matching pair to remove both. A tile is free only when it can slide left or right without being blocked by other tiles, and it must not have a tile sitting directly on top of it. Clearing tiles from the top of the stack reveals new ones underneath, which is where the strategy comes in.

The three tile suits
All 144 tiles belong to three suits. Getting familiar with each one speeds up scanning the board for available matches.

Strategy for clearing the board
Picking tiles at random can leave the board in a deadlock where no free pairs remain. A few habits help:
- Prefer tiles buried deepest in the stack when you have a choice of pairs, as freeing them early opens more options.
- Avoid clearing tiles on the edges first if doing so isolates tiles with no visible partner.
- When stuck, look for tiles where only one partner is still on the board, since those pairs must be matched soon before one gets buried.
- If the layout becomes unsolvable, restarting is always an option.
Playing on desktop and mobile
Mahjong Titans runs on desktop browsers and on phones and tablets. On desktop, left-click to select tiles. On touchscreens, tap works the same way. The game also has a companion app on Google Play for offline play. Because it runs entirely in the browser, you can open it at school or work without installing anything.
