What is Mahjongg Solitaire?
Mahjongg Solitaire is a single-player puzzle game based on traditional mahjong tiles. The board starts as a multi-layer layout with tiles stacked on top of each other. Your goal is to clear the entire layout by selecting matching pairs until no tiles remain. Each round runs up to 10 minutes, so the pace is relaxed rather than frantic. The difficulty sits at medium: the rules are simple, but the order you remove tiles matters because an early mistake can block your path later.

All interaction is with the left mouse button. Click one tile, then click its match to remove the pair.

Free tiles and special tiles
Not every tile on the board can be picked at any moment. A tile is only available when it is open on its left or right side and has nothing stacked on top of it. This is the core rule that makes the game a puzzle rather than a memory test. There is also a second type: tiles with a colored background can be matched with any other colored-background tile, regardless of the symbol. Use these flexibly to open up the board.

Tips for finishing the board
- Work from the top of the stack downward. Clearing high tiles first exposes more of the board.
- Do not just grab the first matching pair you see. Check whether removing them will block another tile you need soon.
- There are no shuffles, so if the board gets stuck you cannot restart the tile order. Use hints early to spot pairs you might miss.
- Colored-background tiles are most useful when you need to unlock a specific blocked standard tile. Save at least one pairing for that situation.
